Job Responsibilities:
You will be joining as a Product Specialist based in Tokyo, reporting to the Head of Japan. This role is expected to deliver product knowledge and information to existing clients and prospective investors, both within and outside of Japan. Interaction is with both external clients and internal stakeholders, such as the firm’s management team, investor relations team, operations, risk management etc. Duties include:
- Providing Relationship Management and Account Management coverage to highly sophisticated institutional clients (banks, pension funds, & asset managers) to provide reporting on funds managed under Polymer Capital Management Japan
- Creating reports to evaluate performance, identify client needs and development requests, and manage relationship with clients on non-investment matters
- Partnering with portfolio managers and firm management members on objectives through enablement/unblocking of revenue opportunities
Serve as the voice of the client in product development and support forums - Creating action plans to continuously improve service delivery and operational processes
- Developing and implementing domestic distribution channels with fiduciaries / asset managers
Requirements:
- Strong client management experience and proven client service competencies
- Excellent knowledge of the equity related asset management business and general market knowledge
- Previous working experience at an asset management firm
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability manage multiple client deliverables while balancing internal and external stakeholder demand
- A passion for delivering results for clients and working in a team setting
- Drive, with ability to thrive in a high-paced environment in a consistently professional manner
- Fluency in both Japanese and English
