Job Responsibilities / Job Brief
- Research, build and maintain quantitative tools and processes to support firmwide risk management
- Work with portfolio managers to research and develop various reports and tools to assist with portfolio performance/risk management and risk mitigation.
- Test and deploy quantitative tools and processes to Production environment.
- Other ad-hoc data analysis tasks as requested to assist in the investment and risk management process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or above degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, financial engineering, quantitative finance or related disciplines. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum 2+ years of data analytics / quant research, quantitative risk management or software development experience in the finance industry. Familiarity with equity factor models/financial datasets/entity data is a plus.
- Strong, demonstrated experience with programming languages such as Python, R, C# and Database development.
- Familiarity with the following is a strong plus:
- AWS (Lambda, batch, ECS)
- Cloud (CI/CD setup, Terraform, Docker)
- Web development (JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue)
- ML packages such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost
- A good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think and work independently.
- Intellectually curious about quantitative and statistical analysis
