Job Brief
Our team specializes in data analytics and visualization, handling multiple projects that encompass risk analytics, monitoring, quantitative research, and trading. We take an end-to-end approach to development, which includes database schema design, API design, and front-end UI/UX design. We use Agile and DevOps methodologies to refine our products iteratively, managing build, test, deployment, and monitoring processes. We maintain high-quality code through peer reviews and automated tests, using Git branching models, pull requests, and CI/CD tools.
Requirements
- Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Information Management, or a related discipline
- Industry Experience: At least five years of development experience in fund operations is highly desirable. Applicants should possess a strong understanding of industry operational processes and characteristics.
- Data Solutions: The role involves building data processing and integration solutions. The primary goal is to improve operational efficiency and reduce the potential for manual errors within fund operations.
- Automation Systems: Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining automation systems tailored for hedge fund operations. These systems encompass a variety of modules, such as post-trade processing, profit and loss (P&L) calculation, valuation, and reporting.
- Workflow Optimization: The position requires the optimization of current fund management workflows, with a focus on enhancing overall system performance.
- Collaboration: The successful candidate will work closely with the line manager to ensure projects are delivered on schedule. Regular communication and collaboration with teams in fund operations, trading, risk management, IT, and compliance are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, or C#, is required. Experience working with databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL, as well as related frameworks, is expected.
- Cloud and Containerization: Familiarity with the AWS cloud environment and experience with containerization technologies are considered advantageous.
- Personal Attributes: Strong problem-solving capabilities, a self-motivated approach to completing tasks, and a collaborative mindset are essential qualities for this role.
