Job Responsibilities / Job Brief
The Product Specialists team acts as a crucial link between investment teams and investors, focusing on relationship management, strategy and insights communication, business development and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a product manager covering Polymer’s various investment strategies
- Develop and maintain marketing materials including pitchbooks, product profiles, white papers, etc.
- Prepare regular investment commentaries and reporting for clients and third-party databases
- Complete Requests for Proposals, facilitate due diligence and handle ad-hoc investor queries
- Coordinate marketing activities in partnership with sales/distribution and external partners
- Assist with developing new product initiatives and product positioning efforts with an understanding of industry trends and the competitive landscape
- Collaborate internally with support functions to ensure alignment and seamless information flow
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant rules and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field is preferred
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in investment management, equity research or product management
- Extensive knowledge of equity markets, valuation models, portfolio management and risk management
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with an ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Must be detail-oriented, hard-working, and self-motivated with a sense of ownership and accountability
- Must be a strong team player that can collaborate globally and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
Good to have
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (written and oral); fluent in Cantonese
- MBA or professional designations including CFA, CAIA or FRM
- Proficiency in financial tools such as Bloomberg, Nasdaq eVestment and/or Morningstar Direct
