Job Description
- Able to advise on trading matters involving equities, fixed income securities, futures and options.
- Assist with the development, implementation and administration of the Japan compliance framework and policies
- Conduct monitoring and surveillance of trading activities to detect and prevent market abuse, insider trading and other violations
- Investigate and resolve alerts generated by trade surveillance systems, and escalate any potential issues to the appropriate stakeholders
- Work on regional projects including system UAT, new investment models discussion, or system development
- Conduct or assist with ad-hoc inspections and regulatory filings or requests
Requirements
- University graduate with major in Business, Finance or Law;
- At least 7 years of experience in compliance, preferably in brokerage or asset management firms
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High attention to details
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure
- Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions. Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite Excel, Bloomberg
- Proficient in Python, or VBA is a plus
- Fluent in English and Japanese
