Asia coverage, with ad-hoc research into non-Asian companies with strong regional exposure.
Sector generalist.
Fundamental, bottom-up analysis on stock ideas; and present trade ideas to the portfolio manager.
Hands-on modelling and detailed analysis for each company.
Conduct company meetings alone or with the portfolio manager.
Requirements:
Experienced (1+ years) investment analyst with expertise in Asian equity research.
Established, rigorous and thorough investment process that encompasses both quantitative and qualitative elements; focus on Asia a strong plus but experience in other regions with strong links to Asia also considered.
Generalist mindset, with experience across different corporate sectors and an ability to analyze companies and securities from first principles, both public and private.
Self-starter with a desire to contribute to team performance from day 1, sources ideas actively rather than waiting to be pushed.
Genuine passion for unearthing trades, high energy and a curiosity for the investment world and expanding one’s skillset.
A strong desire for mastery in the field and to see one’s ideas implemented in the portfolio.
Strong courage in analytical convictions and ability to communicate well with PMs combined with a proven ability to learn from losing trades/missed opportunities and implement those learnings going forward.
Strong network and relationships across the industry.
Fluency in Mandarin (both spoken and written) highly desirable.
High levels of integrity, interpersonal skills and desire to take one’s career to the next level.
